We are currently hiring for:
Mid-day Pet Sitter/Dog Walkers – Pet Sitter/Dog Walkers walk dogs and make pet sit visits between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. You will not always be working all those hours but should expect that visits may be scheduled during that time.
Day-Visit Pet Sitters – Pet Sitters make multiple visits per day, (Mornings, Mid-days and Evenings) to our client’s homes to care for their beloved pets. You must be available for AM and PM visits, Mid-days, and at least 2 weekends each month. Pet Sitters walk dogs, visit cats and care for all sorts of other animals. Pet Sitting opportunities will change day to day, and week to week depending on the season and your availability.
We do require our staff to work 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, New Year’s Eve & Day. (Don’t worry. We will schedule so you still have time to enjoy the holiday!)

Schedule flexibility: This is a customer-driven business. The schedule is always evolving to meet the needs of our clients. Your ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays is highly desired. We do require all sitters to work at least two of the major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and/or New Years)
Follow directions: Customers pay us to care for their animals when they need help, and in the way they want it done. We need our staff to be able to help us provide this level of service.
Experience: Some experience with animals and dog / cat behavior are required, and a willingness to learn more about the animals in our care. We will train you in Pet First Aid & CPR
Background Check: We will ask you to submit to a criminal background check.
Lifestyle: You will need a moderate fitness ability to walk about 3miles/hr for at least 30-40 min. We have a strict NO SMOKING, and no drug / alcohol policy.
Location: We prefer to hire staff who live within our service area, so your commute does not take up your time and hard earned money. Our Service area includes South Asheville (28803) and Arden (28704)
Other essential things you’ll need for this work:
A reliable, insured vehicle, and a clean driving record.
A smart phone with email, photo, video and text capability.
Your own laptop and a functioning printer.
A flexible schedule. Pet Care is a seasonal business. There will be times when the schedule is very slow, and other times when it’s very busy.
